Oxymoron of the Day

President Bush, in a recent press conference, said something I finally agree with:

"The question is, do we have the desire and the capacity to spread peace?"

That is the question, sir. And the answer, quite obviously, is 'no.'

Which brings up an interesting point from this morning's news. France is sending 2,000 troops to Lebanon to increase the 'peacekeeping force' in the area. Apparently, the way to 'spread peace' is to send more troops.

So, the oxymoron of the day is: PEACEKEEPING FORCE.
